The Boston Celtics are professional basketball team. They play in the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference in the NBA. The head coach of the team is Glenn "Doc" Rivers, supported by Armond Hill, Kevin Eastman, Mike Longabardi, and Bryan Doo. The team was formed in Boston, Massachusetts, in 1946. Since then, Boston Celtics have won 17 NBA Championships, with a record 8 in a row from 1959-1966. This is the longest consecutive championship-winning streak of any North American professional sports team to date.
Currently TD Garden is their home arena, shared with the Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League. It has a capacity of 18,624 seats. The Sports Museum (also known as "The Sports Museum of New England") is also located at TD Garden, showing the history of various sports in the Boston area, including the Boston Bruins and the Boston Celtics.

Jones, Dave Bing, Nate "Tiny" Archibald, Dave Cowens, Bill Walton, Bailey Howell, Larry Bird, Arnie Risen, Kevin McHale, Robert Parish, Dominque Wilkins and Dennis Johnson. The list of the inductees also includes 5 contributors and three legendary coaches - Alvin "Doggie" Julian, Arnold "Red" Auerbach and John Thompson.
When the NBA celebrated its 50th anniversary in 1997, and released the list with the 50 Greatest Players in NBA history, 13 were former members of the Boston Celtics.

TD Garden is located in Boston, Massachusetts. The
arena is the home for the Boston Bruins NHL Hockey Team and
the Boston Celtics NBA Basketball Team. Formerly named
TD Banknorth Garden it was renamed TD Garden in 2009 after
TD Banknorth was renamed. Including the current name, TD Garden
has had 33 different names. The facility opened September 30, 1995
as the Shawmut Center. The arena capacity for hockey is 17,565 seats,
for basketball is 18,624 seats and a maximum capacity of 19,580
(including standing room). It was built at a cost of $160 million
dollars. Although the stadium's primary purposes are that as the homes
of the Boston Bruins and the Boston Celtics, it can also be used for a
variety of other events including sporting events and concerts.
Venues Today has ranked the TD Garden as the number 3 arena in the
United States in 2006.
