Matt Nathanson was born on March 28, 1973. Residing in San Francisco, California, he is an American singer-songwriter whose work is a blend of folk and rock music. In addition to singing, he plays acoustic and electric guitar, and has played both solo and with a full band. His work includes the platinum-certified song "Come On Get Higher," co-written with Mark Weinberg. The song had commercial success, reaching the Top 10 of Billboard's Adult Contemporary and Adult Top 40 charts, and charting on the Billboard Hot 100 at number 59. His albums include Please (1993), Ernst (1997), Not Colored Too Perfect (1997), Still Waiting for Spring (1999), When Everything Meant Everything (2002), Beneath These Fireworks (2003), At the Point (2006), Some Mad Hope (2007), and Modern Love (2011).
