Rain A Tribute To The Beatles Tickets:
Rain - A Tribute to The Beatles is a Broadway show that ran initially at the Neil Simon Theatre and after 13 weeks was relocated at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre. From October 2010 to July 2011, the production released 8 previews and 300 regular performances.
The show currently stars its original creators Joey Curatolo (vocals, bass, guitar, piano), Joe Bithorn (vocals, lead guitar, guitar synthesizer), Ralph Castelli (vocals, drums, percussion), Steve Landes (vocals, guitar, piano, harmonica) and Mark Lewis (founding member and manager). In addition to the original RAIN band, at certain performances the production features of Graham Alexander, Mark Beyer, Joe Bologna, Douglas Cox, Jim Irizarry, Alan LoBoeuf, David Leon, Mark Lewis, Jimmy Pou, Mac Ruffing, Andy Sarraf, John Korba, Chris Smallwood and Tom Teeley.
Rain - A Tribute to The Beatles is more a concert than a musical theatre. The show covers songs from the early days of The Beatles and their appearances on The Ed Sullivan Show through their final albums Abbey Road and Let It Be. The performance includes historical film footage and television commercials, live cameras zooming in for close-ups of the band. The show is like a bridge between 1960s and 2010s - a performance for four, five or six generations. It shows the charisma and the genius of The Beatles' music. The artists have developed to perfection every aspect, gesture and nuance of the legends McCartney, Lennon, Starr and Harrison.
At the 56th Annual Drama Desk Awards for excellence in New York theatre, the Drama Desk for Outstanding Revue was given to Rain - A Tribute to The Beatles on Broadway.
After a long American tour, in 2012 the show is going to start its European tour, including Sweden, Norway and Denmark.
