"Jersey Boys" is a musical that uses previously released popular songs of the most successful 1960s rock'n roll band "The Four Seasons". The additional music was composed by Bob Gaudio, Lyrics - by Bob Crewe, and book - by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice.
"The Four Seasons" are an American rock and pop band who became internationally successful in the mid-1960s. The group included Frankie Valli (frontman), Bob Gaudio (keyboards and tenor vocals), Tommy DeVito (guitar and baritone vocals), and Nick Massi (bass guitar and bass vocals). The band became one of the best-selling musical groups of all time - they sold 175 million records worldwide.
The musical "Jersey Boys" tells the story of how a group of blue-collar boys became one of the biggest American pop music sensations of all time -- Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons. They wrote their own songs, invented their own sounds and sold millions records worldwide -- all before they were 30! The musical features their beloved hit songs "Sherry", "Big Girls Don't Cry", "Rag Doll", "Oh What a Night" and "Can't Take My Eyes Off of You".
Performing scenes from the real life, "Jersey Boys" contains genuine New Jersey language which is not suitable for younger audiences and is not appropriate for persons 12 and under.
