"Quidam" is a stage show, produced by the Canadian entertainment company "Cirque du Soleil". The performance premiered in Montreal on April 23, 1996. This production is directed by Franco Dragone. The creative team includes Gilles Ste-Croix (Artistic guide), Michel Crete (Set designer), Dominique Lemieux (Costume designer), Benoit Jutras (Composer and Musical director) and Debra Brown (Choreographer).
 
"Quidam" is a story of a young girl and the way she has escaped from the drama in her real life. Young Zoe is bored of the emptiness in her heart. Her parents are distant and apathetic and always ignore her desires and hopes. Zoe's life has lost all meaning so gradually she slides into an imaginary world - the world of Quidam. In his reality she meets characters who encourage her to free her soul. Quidam is represented like a nameless passer-by, a solitary figure lingering on a street corner, a person rushing past and swallowed by the noisy crowd.
 
The show includes a number of acrobatic artistry acts like "Aerial Contortion in Silk", "Cloud Swing", "German Wheel", "Hand Balancing", "Juggling" and "Aerial Hoops".
 
Typically for "Cirque du Soleil", this show is an incredible mix of circus art and street culture. Initially the performance was more grandiose but later was converted into an arena format for its 2010 tour in America. The magic of the show has been kept by the special set design, including a giant arch constructed of five all-aluminum rails for an overall length of 120 feet. The floor is built from perforated metal tiles and when it is illuminated from above and below appears at times metallic, at times incandescent. Changes in the lighting transform the mood of a scene from comedy to tragedy. The whole special system also allows the actors to "fly" safely in the air for extended periods of time by using harnesses.

Dralion is a famous touring performance of the Canadian entertainment company Cirque du Soleil. The show premiered in April 1999 in Montreal. For the creation of this fabulous performance the founder of Cirque du Soleil - Guy Laliberte, has formed an extraordinary team of experienced professionals. The creative team includes Gilles Ste-Croix (Artistic Guide), Guy Caron (Director), Francois Barbeau (Costume Designer), Stephane Roy (Set Designer), Luc Lafortune (Lighting Designer), Violaine Corradi (Composer and Musical Director), Julie Lachance (Choreographer), Guy Desrochers (Sound Designer), Michel Dallaire (Clown Act Designer), and Sylvie Galarneau (General Artistic Director).
 
The show's name is derived from its two emblematic creatures: the dragon - symbolizing the East, and the lion - symbolizing the West. In fact, this beautiful spectacle is inspired by Chinese acrobats. The main plot follows the eternal quest for harmony between humans and nature. The four elements that govern the natural order take on a human form, and each element is represented by its own evocative color: air is blue, water is green, fire is red, and earth is ochre. The audience meets the circus art in a breathtaking show, featuring Aerial Hoop, Juggling, Skipping Ropes, Single Handbalancing, Hoop Diving, and Bamboo poles. This touring show is a harmonious blend of Eastern and Western acrobatic prowess.
 
The main characters in the performance are: Yao - the fire, symbolizing both good and evil; Azala - the goddess of Air; Gaya - the goddess of Earth; Oceane - the goddess of Water; The Little Buddha - the chosen child; Kala - the ongoing circle of life. The magic of the show is also hidden in the unique vocals, called "L'Ame-Force". The voices of Dralion sing an invented language, which symbolizes ultimate harmony between the four elements. And of course, on the stage appear the Clowns, without whom no circus is complete.
