Cirque du Soleil Quidam:

"Quidam" is a stage show, produced by the Canadian entertainment company "Cirque du Soleil". The performance premiered in Montreal on April 23, 1996. This production is directed by Franco Dragone. The creative team includes Gilles Ste-Croix (Artistic guide), Michel Crete (Set designer), Dominique Lemieux (Costume designer), Benoit Jutras (Composer and Musical director) and Debra Brown (Choreographer).

"Quidam" is a story of a young girl and the way she has escaped from the drama in her real life. Young Zoe is bored of the emptiness in her heart. Her parents are distant and apathetic and always ignore her desires and hopes. Zoe's life has lost all meaning so gradually she slides into an imaginary world - the world of Quidam. In his reality she meets characters who encourage her to free her soul. Quidam is represented like a nameless passer-by, a solitary figure lingering on a street corner, a person rushing past and swallowed by the noisy crowd.

The show includes a number of acrobatic artistry acts like "Aerial Contortion in Silk", "Cloud Swing", "German Wheel", "Hand Balancing", "Juggling" and "Aerial Hoops".

Typically for "Cirque du Soleil", this show is an incredible mix of circus art and street culture. Initially the performance was more grandiose but later was converted into an arena format for its 2010 tour in America. The magic of the show has been kept by the special set design, including a giant arch constructed of five all-aluminum rails for an overall length of 120 feet. The floor is built from perforated metal tiles and when it is illuminated from above and below appears at times metallic, at times incandescent. Changes in the lighting transform the mood of a scene from comedy to tragedy. The whole special system also allows the actors to "fly" safely in the air for extended periods of time by using harnesses.

The Radio City Music Hall is located in Manhattan, New York City, USA at 1260 Avenue of the Americas, New York, NY 10020 USA.

Radio City Music Hall is a luxurious indoor venue located in Manhattan in New York City in the Rockefeller Center. The original name was intended to be the International Music Hall however the name Radio City was derived from an old tenant of the Rockefeller Center, NBC Radio City Studios. It is commonly referred to as the Showplace of the Nation and also as RCMH. The hall has been used for stage shows, as a film theater including premieres like Harry Potter, concerts, theatre, many televised events, WNBA Basketball and boxing. It hosts the Radio City Christmas Spectacular, featuring The Rockettes, annually. Surrounding the Great Stage in the hall is the largest theater pipe organ ever built, with 4410 pipes, that was installed in 1932 that is capable of replicating the instruments of an orchestra. In 1978, the interior of the structure was declared a landmark of New York City. The capacity is approximately 6015 seats.
