The Los Angeles Clippers are a professional basketball team, members of the Pacific Division of the Western Conference of the National Basketball Association. The head coach of the team is Vinny Del Negro, supported by Marc Iavaroni, Dean Demopoulos, Robert Pack, Dave Severns, Howard Eisley and Richard Williams. The 2011-2012 Roster includes the players Chauncey Billups (1), Eric Bledsoe (12), Caron Butler (5), Brian Cook (34), Reggie Evans (30), Randy Foye (4), Ryan Gomes (15), Blake Griffin (32), Solomon Jones (21), DeAndre Jordan (6), Travis Leslie (23), Kenyon Martin, Chris Paul (3), Trey Thompkins (33) and Mo Williams (25). Blake Griffin and Chris Paul have been selected for the 2012 NBA All-Star Game - an exhibition basketball game that will be played on February 26, 2012, at Amway Center in Orlando, Florida. This game will be the 61st edition of the National Basketball Association (NBA) All-Star Game.
 
The team was formed as the Buffalo Braves in 1970. They moved to San Diego, California, in 1978 and become the San Diego Clippers. In 1984 the team moved to Los Angeles, California, and it was renamed the Los Angeles Clippers. Throughout the years the Los Angeles Clippers had only six winning seasons, and only two since moving to Los Angeles. They have never won a division title or gotten past the second round of the NBA playoffs.
 
The club's home arena is Staples Center, shared with the Los Angeles Lakers of the NBA, the Los Angeles Sparks of the Women's National Basketball Association, and the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League.
 
Three players of the team were inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame: Adrian Dantley, Bob McAdoo and Bill Walton. Three other Hall of Famers served the franchise in management positions: Dr. Jack Ramsay (Head Coach), Elgin Baylor (General Manager) and Dolph Schayes (Head Coach).

The Staples Center is the home of the NBA's Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers basketball teams, and the NHL's Los Angeles Kings hockey team. The Staples Center first opened its doors on October 17, 1999, at a cost of $375 million. The facility has a capacity of 19,079 for basketball, 18,118 for ice hockey, and 20,000 for concerts, with 2,500 clubs seats and 160 luxury suites.
