The Texas Rangers are a professional baseball team, a member of the Western Division of Major League Baseball's American League. The club was established as Washington Senators in 1961. In 1972 the team moved to Arlington, Texas, and became famous as the Texas Rangers.
The club owns five West Division titles - 1996, 1998, 1999, 2010 and 2011. The Rangers won the AL Pennants in two consecutive years - 2010 and 2011.
Since 2006 the home stadium of the Texas Rangers is the Rangers Ballpark in Arlington. The capacity of the facility is 49,170 seats, including 5,704 club seats and 126 luxury suites. The stadium hosts the Texas Rangers Hall of Fame. There are currently fourteen members - Charlie Hough, Johnny Oates, Nolan Ryan, Jim Sundberg, Buddy Bell, Ferguson Jenkins, Tom Vandergriff, Mark Holtz, John Wetteland, Rusty Greer, Toby Harrah, Rubén Sierra, Tom Grieve and Kenny Rogers.
The manager of the Rangers is Ron Washington. The coaching staff includes the names: Scott Coolbaugh (Batting Coach), Mike Maddux (Pitching Coach), Gary Pettis (First Base Coach), Dave Anderson (Third Base Coach), Jackie Moore (Bench Coach), Andy Hawkins (Bullpen Coach), Josh Frasier (Bullpen Catcher) and Greg Maddux (Special assistant).
