Straight No Chaser Tickets:
Straight No Chaser (SNC) is the name of two men's a cappella singing groups. The group from Indiana University is composed of 10 to 12 students whose lineup changes every year. From this group originated the professional group of the same name. Founded in 1996 at Indiana University by 10 students, the name was inspired by the famous musical composition by the jazz pianist and composer Thelonious Monk. The group included Dan Ponce, Randy Stine, Charlie Mechling, Steve Morgan, Jerome Collins, Dave Roberts, Walter Chase, Michael Itkoff, Patrick Hachey, and Kevin Caroll. The debut of the group was at a 36-hour dance marathon and the group performed until 1998. After graduating every member started his own project. In April 2006, Randy Stine posted to Youtube a video of "The 12 Days of Christmas," recorded in 1998. It received over 13 million views. Shortly after that, Craig Kallman, Chief executive officer of Atlantic Records, offered the members of the group the opportunity to record a new album. In 2008, SNC recorded the Christmas album "Holiday Spirits." The lineup of the group included eight of the original members. In 2009 the group released several projects and taped a live concert special in New York City. On August 31, 2009, the group released an EP "Six Pack," and on November 3, 2009, SNC released their second album "Christmas Cheers." Their third album "With a Twist" released in 2010 featured a song with Barry Manilow.
