Ricardo Arjona Tickets

Known as Latin America's Bob Dylan, Ricardo Arjona, is a Guatemalan singer and songwriter who, like his famous American counterpart is known for his socially conscious music. Combining traditional South American folk music with rock, hip-hop, and classical influences, Arjona blends a variety of styles and sings about subjects ranging from love to social injustice. Born in 1964 in Antigua, Guatemala, Arjona was taught guitar by his father by age seven and was performing his own songs by age eight. He moved to Mexico City to pursue a music career and landed a recording contract PolyGram label. After a poor showing from his debut ablum "Dejame Decir que Te Amo (Let Me Say I Love You)," Arjona left the lime-light and spent the next five years teaching and writing music for other artists. Finally, after relocating to Buenos Aires, Argentina, Arjona began recording music again, focusing on the material he would come to be known for - songs of protest. This landed him a deal with Sony Music, and his debut album on Sony, "Animal Nocturno," in 1993, was a critical and popular success. He continues to record and performing internationally.
