Rascal Flatts is an American country rock band. The group started in 2000 as a boy band in Columbus, Ohio. For their career they have sold 20 million albums, 25 million digital downloads, and earned 13 number one singles. The lineup includes the members Gary Levox (lead vocals), Jay Demarcus (bass guitar, keyboards, vocals), and Joe Don Rooney (lead guitar, vocals). In 2000 the band became famous for the song "Walk the Llama Llama" that was a part of the Walt Disney movie "The Emperor's New Groove" soundtrack. That year, the group released the self titled album "Rascal Flatts." Their second studio album "Melt" was released in 2002. The single "These Days" became their first number-one single on the country charts. The album "Feels Like Today" was released in 2004. The song "Bless The Broken Road" won song of the year at the 2005 Country Music Association Awards. After two years of touring and writing for their next album, the band released "Me and My Gang" in 2006. The debut single, "What Hurts The Most" was the fastest moving single in Rascal Flatts history. The next three years, the band released three albums "Still Feels Good," "Greatest Hits Volume 1," and "Unstoppable." After the closure of Lyric Street Records, the country division of Walt Disney Records, in 2010, Rascal Flatts signed to Big Machine Records. The album "Nothing Like This" was released in 2010. By the middle of 2011, the album had sold nearly 1 million copies. Their recording with Justin Bieber, "That Should Be Me," was named collaborative video of the year at the CMT Music Awards.
