The "Pink Floyd Experience" is a unique rock spectacle based on Pink Floyd's progressive and psychedelic rock music. The project started in 1997 in New Zealand and has toured internationally since 2004. The main part of the creative team includes Andy Craig (sound engineer), Glenn 'G' Border (lighting engineer), Mark 'Jabba' Butler (lighting engineer), and Don McCallum (rigger and video operator). Pink Floyd was an English rock band, founded in 1965, famous for their philosophical lyrics and innovative live shows. The band is one of the most commercially successful and influential rock music groups of all time. The "Pink Floyd Experience" has created a huge reputation in its own right for performing Pink Floyd's music to new and higher standards. The project brings the passion and the vision of the band to music fans around the world. The music is recreated by ten extremely talented musicians: Stan Gratkowski (vocals), Darren 'Daz' Whittaker (guitar), Glen Ahearn (keyboards), Ken Te Tau (bass), Rob Ju (drums), Jeremy Fitzsimons (percussions), Roger Rangitaawa (sax, percussion and guitar), Linley Goodison (backing vocals), Stephanie Hearfield (backing vocals), and Wini Baxter (backing vocals). Throughout the years the "Pink Floyd Experience" has performed more than two hundred shows based on various Pink Floyd albums and live concerts. One of the most famous and glamourous productions was the dramatic performance of "The Wall." Having attracted the attention of overseas interests they toured "The Wall" numerous times throughout New Zealand, Australia and South Africa. In 2009 they started the "Back Catalogue" New Zealand Tour, which had a very successful reception. In 2011 they followed with the 2011 "Pulse" Tour, which included a New Zealand tour covering 15 dates and 20 shows in South Africa. This was a recreation of Pink Floyd's landmark stadium show "The Division Bell Tour," which was released in the 1990s on both CD and DVD.
