O.A.R. -- Of A Revolution OAR Tickets:
"Of A Revolution" (O.A.R.) is an alternative rock band which formed in Rockville, Maryland in 1996. The lineup includes members Marc Roberge (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Chris Culos (drums, percussion), Richard On (lead guitar, backing vocals), Benj Gershman (bass guitar), and Jerry DePizzo (saxophone, guitar, backing vocals). The musician Mikel Paris (keyboards, percussion, backing vocals) often joins the band on different touring productions. O.A.R. started with numerous college performances and small gigs in different clubs, and even today most of their fans are mainly young people from American campuses. Still their music is not to be underestimated. The band debuted in 1997 with the album "The Wanderer." In order get exposure for their music, O.A.R. relied on online distribution. Three years later, in 2000, the group released the album "Soul's Aflame." It was originally released with a twelfth track, "Earthward," which was later removed. The band entered the charts in 2001 with their third album "Risen." It reached number 11 on the Billboard Charts Internet Sales and number 66 on the Billboard Top New Artists. From the next album "In Between Now and Then" the group released two singles "Right on Time" and "Hey Girl." In 2005 "Stories of a Stranger" was released and the same year the single "Love and Memories" was certificated gold by Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). In 2005 the new album "Stories of a Stranger" peaked at number 40 on the Billboard 200, but their next album, "All Sides" would bring out the biggest hit in O.A.R.'s history. The single "Shattered (Turn the Car Around)" took over the charts and was certificated platinum by RIAA. It was also used in an advertisement for the BlackBerry Storm. O.A.R.'s seventh studio album, "King" was released in 2011. The Deluxe package contains four Bonus Tracks and a Bonus DVD, featuring acoustic performances, as well as track by track interviews with the band and an introduction to the album.
