

Lenny Kravitz is an American superstar famous for his unique retro style that incorporates elements of rock, soul, R&B, funk, reggae, psychedelic rock, and folk. An extremely talented singer and multi-instrumentalist, he's been making records for over twenty years, has sold over 35 million albums, and has won four Grammy awards. Lenny Kravitz was born in 1964 in New York City. His first studio album "Let Love Rule" was released in 1989. Kravitz wrote, produced, and played almost all the instruments on the album. The next studio project "Mama Said" was released in 1991 and reached the top 40 of the Billboard album charts. In 2011 Lenny Kravitz released the studio project "Black and White America." Throughout the years Lenny Kravitz has also written and produced music for some of the most famous artists in the music world. In 1990 he co-wrote and produced the song "Justify My Love" for Madonna. In 1991, he produced the self-titled album of Vanessa Paradis. In 1999 Kravitz produced and sang with Cree Summer on her album "Street Faerie."
