Jann Arden Anne Richards is a Canadian pop singer and songwriter. She has sold over two million records worldwide, with 15 top ten singles from nine albums. Arden already holds eight Juno Awards and received a star on Canada's Walk of Fame in 2006. She was born in 1962 in Springbank, Alberta. Since 1980 she has released forty singles and entered the charts in the U.S., Canada, and the UK. Her discography includes nine studio albums, two compilations, and two live albums. After years of hard work and numerous local performances, Jann Arden came on the world stage with her debut album "Time for Mercy", released in 1993. The single "I Would Die for You" quickly earned national attention. It was certified Platinum by Music Canada. Jann Arden had a breakthrough with her second album "Living Under June." It was released in Canada in August 1994, and in the spring of 1995 in the U.S. In 1996 the album peaked at number one on the Billboard's Top Heatseekers chart, and at number 76 on The Billboard 200. It was certified five times Platinum by the Music Canada, and Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America. In 1997 Jann Arden released the album "Happy?," and led by the single "The Sound Of," it sold 300,000 copies in Canada and was certified two times Platinum.
