Glen Campbell is a legendary American country music singer, guitarist, and actor. He was born in 1936 in Billstown, Arkansas. He has released 55 studio albums, 6 live albums, and 121 compilations and repackages. 12 of his albums are certified Gold by Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) with four becoming platinum and one double-platinum. Glen Campbell began his career as a musician playing with The Beach Boys and Frank Sinatra. His first studio album, "Big Bluegrass Special," was released in 1962. He achieved enormous fame in the late 1960s with songs like "Wichita Lineman," "By the Time I Get To Phoenix," and "Galveston." In 1967 and 1968 Glen Campbell recorded eight studio albums and six of them reached number one on the US Billboard chart. During his 50 years in show business, Campbell sold 45 million records. In 2005 Campbell was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame. The last studio project of the great artist is titled "Ghost on the Canvas" and was released in 2011. This album is considered the last of his career. In June 2011, Campbell revealed he had been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease six months earlier and was embarking on one final farewell tour before retiring.
