Foster The People Tickets

Foster the People is an American indie pop band from Los Angeles, California. The group creates dance-tinged pop and rock music that incorporates many genres. The group formed in 2009 and was quickly signed to Columbia Records' imprint Startime International. Singer Mark Foster created the band after moving to LA at the encouragement of his father to pursue his music career. He struggled for many years, performing odd jobs including a commercial jingle writer. Not long after meeting Mark Pontius (drums) and Cubbie Fink (bass), the group released the single "Pumped Up Kicks," which was their first breakthrough. Mark Foster credits Sirius XM satellite radio show Alt Nation for breaking the single and helping their record debut at number eight on the Billboard 200.
