Demetri Martin Tickets

Demetri Martin is an American stand-up comedian and actor. His style includes observational comedy, surreal humor, musical comedy, and sketch comedy. He was born in 1973 in New York City. His professional career started with performances at Boston Comedy Club in New York City. In 2001 he appeared on Comedy Central's stand-up showcase "Premium Blend." His career developed rapidly, and in 2003 he won the Perrier award at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe with his show "If I..." He became extremely popular as a contributor on "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" on Comedy Central. Throughout the years Demetri Martin appeared several times on the variety show "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" and even in 2005 won the Writers Guild of America Award. Demetri Martin won the 2006 Barry Award for best show at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. In 2009 the actor started his own Comedy Central show "Important Things with Demetri Martin." The show was produced by Jon Stewart's "Busboy Productions" and ran on Comedy Central from February 2009 to April 2010. Martin's discography includes three albums. His first record, "Invite Them Up", was released in 2005. The album "These Are Jokes" was put on sale on September 26, 2006. It featured guest appearances of the actors Will Forte and Leo Allen. The album was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America in May 2009. The DVD "Demetri Martin. Person." was released on September 4, 2007. It was directed by Jay Karas. In 2011 Martin appeared in two movie productions, the retro comedy film "Take Me Home Tonight" and in the thriller "Contagion." In 2011, the artist published his book "This Is A Book by Demetri Martin."
