Standup comedian and television host Daniel Tosh is a master of sardonic material and is known for his sharp, snide, and wicked comedic style. Born in Germany but raised in Florida, Tosh is the son of a preacher. In Miami, Tosh created and hosted the late-night television show "Tens," where he would interview and mock models from the South Beach area. After touring the comedy club circuit, he found his first break with a successful performance at the prestigious Just for Laughs International Comedy Festival in Montreal. He was soon appearing at comedy festivals as far away as New Zealand and Kilkenny, Ireland, and averaging 100 college campus performances a year. He had his first network debut on "The Late Show with David Letterman" in 2001 and a year later was hosting his first standup special, "Comedy Central Presents Daniel Tosh." He has also appeared several times on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," "The Late, Late Show with Craig Kilborn," "Jimmy Kimmel Live," "Last Call with Carson Daly," "Premium Blend" (Comedy Central), "The Best Week Ever" (VH-1), "The Test" (FX), and "Friday Night Stand-Up" (Comedy Central). In 2005 the cable network's record label released his debut, "True Stories I Made Up." Things would drastically change in 2009 when "Tosh.0" began to air on Comedy Central. Daniel continues to produce and star in television shows and pilots, although stand-up remains his primary passion. When not performing comedy, Daniel surfs, gambles, and continues to pursue his interests in acting, hosting and writing.
