Creedence Clearwater Revisited CCR Tickets:
Creedence Clearwater Revisited was initially created as a short-run project, formed in 1995, by ex-CCR members Stu Cook and Doug Clifford, that played covers of their former band. Following the breakup of CCR in 1972, Cook and Clifford, who'd been friends since junior high, formed a production company together. With Elliot Easton, formerly of the Cars, on lead guitar, and John Tristao on vocals, what was supposed to be only a few private parties here and there turned into the band getting over 100 gigs a year and releasing the album "Recollection." While not looking to be a creative force and release new music, CCRevisited solidified their live show for crowds looking for good-time rock & roll music, playing covers of their former band in what some likened to a flesh-and-blood jukebox. In 1997, CCRevisited found themselves in competition with their old band when CCR lead singer John Fogerty finally overcame his reticence about his old songs and issued his own live album at the same time that CCRevisited had their own double live CD out. The band continues to tour, bringing those Rock and Roll Hall of Fame classics to a new generation of listeners.
