Coldplay is an English alternative rock band from London comprised of Chris Martin (vocals), Guy Berryman (bass), Will Champion (drums), and Jonny Buckland (guitars). Formed in 1998, Coldplay rose to fame with their 2000 hit "Yellow." Their first album "Parachutes" earned them a Grammy Award for "Best Alternative Music Album". Their follow-up"A Rush of Blood to the Head" contained the single "Politic" which was inspired by the September 11th terrorist attacks. The band supports different social and political organizations, including "Make Trade Fair."
