City And Colour is the solo project of the Canadian musician and singer Dallas Green. He plays lead guitar, rhythm guitar, acoustic guitar, bass guitar, banjo, harmonica, piano, drums and percussion. His style includes acoustic and folk music and on stage is usually supported by a great number of talented musicians like Spencer Burton, Daniel Romano, Anna Jarvis, Casey Baker, Dylan Green, and Scott Remila. The alias of the musician comes from his real name: "Dallas" - "City" and "Green" - "Colour." In 2004 Dallas Green issued the first City And Colour EP "The Death of Me." In his solo career he has released six more EPs "Missing EP," "Live Session EP," "The MySpace Transmissions," "Live at the Verge," "Live at the Orange Lounge EP," and "iTunes Live: SXSW (Live in Austin, TX/2011)." The first full-length studio album of City And Colour was released in 2005 and was titled "Sometimes". It was released through Dine Alone Records and in 2007 won a Juno Award for Alternative Album Of The Year. The album was certified platinum by Music Canada in March 2006. "Bring Me Your Love" was releases in 2008. The album debuted at number 11 of the Top Heatseekers chart. It featured appearances from Gordon Downie of the Tragically Hip and Romano and Spencer Burton of Attack in Black. All songs were written and composed by Dallas Green. He won the Juno for Songwriter of the Year at the 2009 Juno Awards in Vancouver. The album "Little Hell" was released in 2011. The album debuted at number 1 on the Canadian Albums Chart and at number 28 on the US Billboard 200.
