Casting Crowns Tickets:

Casting Crowns is a Christian rock band from Atlanta, Georgia. The group was founded in 1999 by the youth pastor Mark Hall. The band plays rock music that focuses on matters concerned with the Christian faith. Hall is the lead singer and songwriter, the heart and voice of the band. His wife Melanie Hall is the road manager. The other members of the group are Megan Garrett (piano, keyboards and vocals), Hector Cervantes (lead guitar and vocals), Juan DeVevo (guitar and vocals), Melodee DeVevo (violin, cello and vocals), Chris Huffman (bass guitar and vocals), and Brian Scoggin (drums). The lineup of the band changed once in 2009 when drummer Andy Williams quit and was replaced by Scoggin. Even as Casting Crowns has become more popular and widely known, all of the members have continued working at their home churches. For the first two years the band released two independent albums on CD "Casting Crowns" and "What If The Whole World Prayed." In 2003 the band signed with Beach Street Records and their next recordings were produced by Mark A. Miller. The same year they released their second self titled album "Casting Crowns." This and the next three albums of the group were certificated platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). In 2005 the band released the album "Lifesong." This project brought the band their first Grammy Award in 2006. In 2007, their album "The Altar and the Door" hit number one on the charts and was followed by a big North American tour. The band balanced the tour schedule around their church responsibilities. After releasing the album "Peace on Earth," drummer Andy Williams quit the band. In 2008, Casting Crowns had the distinction of having several live shows in North Korea. The same year the group released the album "Until the Whole World Hears." The last studio album of the band was titled "Come to the Well" and was released in 2011. The first single, "Courageous," was showcased in the Sherwood Pictures film of the same name. In addition to the new album, Hall has also authored a book titled "The Well: Why Are So Many Still Thirsty?"
