Bryan Guy Adams is a Canadian rock singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. He has a brilliant voice and plays the guitar, bass, and harmonica. He was born in 1959 in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. His professional career started with the release of his self-titled debut album in 1980. Initially it was distributed only in Canada. It was followed by a four month tour around local clubs and colleges. Although Adams stayed unnoticed by the critics, he was known well enough to his fans and in 1981 released his second studio album "You Want It You Got It." Adams became extremely popular in 1983 with the release of the album, "Cuts Like A Knife." It achieved a huge commercial success in Canada and in the United States. The most famous songs, featured on the album, were "Straight from the Heart," "Cuts Like a Knife," and "This Time." The fourth album, "Reckless," was recorded in 1984. It is now referred to as one of the best albums of the 1980s. It peaked at number one in Canada and the U.S., and entered the charts in Australia, Germany, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Swiss, and the UK. The 1987's studio album, "Into the Fire," sold over four million units worldwide, peaking at number seven on the US Billboard 200 chart. His momentum continued and in 1991 he reached the peak of his career with the release of his studio album "Waking Up the Neighbours." The album reached number one on the charts all over the world. The song "(Everything I Do) I Do It for You" was featured on the soundtrack for the film "Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves." It spent seven weeks at number one in the US Billboard Hot 100, 16 weeks at number one in the UK singles chart, and nine weeks at number one on the Canadian singles chart. The song won a Grammy Award for Best Song Written Specifically for a Motion Picture or Television in 1992. By the end of the decade, Bryan Adams released two more successful studio albums "18 til I Die" and "On a Day Like Today." In 2004 Adams released his next studio album "Room Service."
