Aaron Lewis is a singer and musician with a big rock history and newly released solo country album. He was born in 1972 in Longmeadow, Massachusetts. Earlier in his career he played in the band J-CAT, together with Tori Sands, Chris Ballini, and Jon Wysocki. In 1995 he was among the founders of the rock band Staind. Aaron Lewis is lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist, the rest of the members are Mike Mushok on lead guitar, Johnny April on bass, and the drummer Jon Wysocki (who left in May 2011and was replaced by Sal Giancarelli). To date, the band has recorded seven studio albums: "Tormented," "Dysfunction," " Break the Cycle," "14 Shades of Grey," "Chapter V," "The Illusion of Progress," and "Staind." In 2006, Aaron Lewis was listed in metal magazine "Hit Parader's" Heavy Metal's All-Time Top 100 Vocalists list at number 49, slipping in right after Motorhead's Lemmy and beating out the likes of Hendrix, Rob Zombie, and Fred Durst. In 2010 Aaron Lewis released his first solo project, a country music EP entitled "Town Line." The record was made in Nashville during early 2010. It was released in 2011, produced by Grammy-award winning James Stroud along with Lewis. The release included seven tracks including the single "Country Boy" featuring George Jones, Charlie Daniels, and Chris Young. The song charted on both "Hot Country Songs" and "Rock Songs," after its release in 2010. The track "Tangled Up in You" is a re-recording of a song from Staind's album "The Illusion of Progress." In 2011 the album reached number one on U.S. Billboard Top Country Albums. It peaked to number three both on U.S. Billboard Top Independent Albums and U.S. Billboard Top Rock "Town Line" reached number 7 on U.S. Billboard 200.
