Dierks Bentley is an American country music singer. His unique music style turns traditional country music into modern tunes. Dierks Bentley was born in Phoenix, Arizona, in 1975. He released his first studio album, "Don't Leave Me in Love," in 2001. The big success for the singer came after signing a contract with the record label Capitol Nashville. In 2003 Dierks Bentley released his self-titled album. The release became a total hit in U.S. and was certified Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America. It produced three smashing hits "What Was I Thinkin'," "My Last Name," and "How Am I Doin'." In 2005, the country singer released the album "Modern Day Drifter." The album peaked at number one on the US Billboard Top Country Albums chart. It was certified Platinum in US and Gold in Canada. "Long Trip Alone" was released in 2006. It produced four Top 10 singles "Every Mile a Memory," "Long Trip Alone," "Free and Easy (Down the Road I Go)," and "Trying to Stop Your Leaving." In 2009 Bentley recorded the studio album "Feel That Fire." His singles "Sideways" and "Feel That Fire" reached number one on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. The duet with Patty Griffin "Beautiful World," was nominated for "Best Country Collaboration With Vocals" at the 52nd Grammy Awards. The album "Up on the Ridge" was released in 2010. It was defined by the critics as a bluegrass-influenced album, mixed with country and Americana. The album debuted at number nine on the US Billboard 200. The latest studio production of the artist is called "Home." In 2012 Dierks Bentley will start a second run of "The Country & Cold Cans Tour." It kicks off in April 2012 with the Eli Young Band, The Cadillac Black, and Will Hoge.
