Kenneth Arnold Chesney was born in 1968 in Knoxville, Tennessee. He is a country singer and songwriter known simply Kenny Chesney. He is one of the biggest American stars with fourteen of his studio albums certified gold or platinum by the "Recording Industry Association in America" (RIAA). Throughout the years, more than 30 of his singles entered the Top Ten at Billboard Hot Country Songs charts. He has won almost every musical award of his genre: six Academy of Country Music Awards, two American Music Awards, four Country Music Association (CMA) awards, three Country Music Television Awards, and a People's Choice Award. In 1989, Chesney decided to record a self-released demo album at the Classic Recording Studio in Bristol, Virginia. He used the album to book himself in small clubs. The fact that he sold only 1,000 copies of the record didn't discourage the musician. He recorded again in 1994, when he released the album "In My Wildest Dreams." This time his album sold 10,000 copies. In 1995 Kenny Chesney released the album "All I Need to Know," which was his first breakthrough on the charts. The singles "Fall in Love" and "All I Need to Know" reached the Top Ten. After ten more albums, Chesney recorded "Hemingway's Whisky" in 2011. His newest album also was certified platinum with over 1 million copies sold. In 2011 he took home a CMA award for Music Video of the Year and at the Billboard Touring Awards Chesney won Top Package for his 2011 "Goin' Coastal Tour" with Zac Brown, Uncle Kracker, and Billy Currington.
