Jeff Dunham Tour dates:
Ventriloquist/Comedian Jeff Dunham is joined by puppets Walter, Peanut, Jose Jalapeno, Achmed the Dead Terrorist, and Bubba J.
Jeff Dunham was born in 1962 in Dallas, Texas. The first steps in ventriloquism he made in 1970. Today he is recognized as the best ventriloquist and stand-up comedian in the world.
Dunham climbed the stairs of fame and glory step by step, with really hard work. He started with acting in small clubs in Texas during the 80's of the last century. In 1988 he moved to Los Angeles and got relationships with famous names from the art business. In 1990 Jeff Dunham appeared for the first time on "The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson". Then followed hundreds appearances in clubs and TV shows.
In 2003 Dunham appeared on "Comedy Central Presents" - famous in USA half-hour long stand-up show that features various stand-up comedians in each episode. The same year BRASMA Publications released the book "Dear Walter" - a collection of questions asked of Dunham's fictional character at live performances, illustrated by Frank Cummings. In 2006 he released his own comedy DVD "Jeff Dunham: Arguing with Myself" and the project came out as a premier on "Comedy Central Presents" - one our prime-time. In 2007 was released the second successful DVD - "Spark of Insanity". In 2008 the premier of the show "Very Special Christmas Special" was watched by 6.6 million fans. As a bonus he edited a music album with parody of famous Christmas songs, named "Don't Come Home for Christmas".
In 2010 Jeff Dunham edited his autobiographical book "All By My Selves: Walter, Peanut, Achmed and Me". In 2011 he released the next DVD "Controlled Chaos" and over 100,000 copies were sold out within the first week it was on sale.
The secret of the success is that he is not alone on the stage, he plays together with Bubba J, Walter - the grumpy retiree, the fury and manic Peanut, the bumbling skeletal Achmed the dead Terrorist, Jose Jalapeno on a Stick, Sweet Daddy Dee, Melvin the Superhero Guy, and Diane. All of the characters are invented and handcrafted by Dunham.
