Puscifer is the name, used by the American rock singer, songwriter, musician, and actor Maynard James Keenan for his solo musical project. Keenan is well known for his involvement with the bands Tool, Caduceus, and A Perfect Circle.
Initially Maynard James Keenan released several soundtracks under the pseudonym Puscifer, like "Rev 22:20" for the Underworld soundtrack. The first studio album was released in 2007 under the unusual name "'V' Is for Vagina." Maynard James Keenan presented untypical and different electronic sound and arrangements. Guests on the album include Milla Jovovich, Devo Jonny Polonsky, Lustmord, Trey Gunn, Lisa Germano, Micah, Alan Moulder, and others. The album was also released as a Limited Edition double vinyl album featuring two bonus tracks. The first single "Queen B" peaked at number 26 on the Billboard Hot Modern Rock Tracks chart. The songs "Indigo Children (JLE Dub Mix)" and "Momma Sed (Tandimonium Mix)," appear on the official soundtrack for the video game "Need for Speed: Undercover." Puscifer released "Conditions of My Parole" in 2011. The album was produced by Keenan, Mat Mitchell, and Josh Eustis. Contributing musicians for the album include Carina Round, Tim Alexander, Mat Mitchell, Jeff Friedl, Sarah Jones, Jonny Polonsky, Josh Eustis and others.
